A brilliant toy company roboticist uses artificial intelligence to develop M3GAN, a life-like doll programmed to emotionally bond with her newly orphaned niece. But when the doll's programming works too well, she becomes overprotective of her new friend with terrifying results.
Despite expecting a hilariously bad horror movie, I found myself pleasantly surprised by the film's competent storytelling and self-aware humor, even though it deviated from typical horror tropes. While it lacked the expected level of gore, it still delivered enjoyable moments, especially with the absurdity of the AI killer doll.
