However, the gameplay's focus on chase sequences becomes repetitive, and the inconsistency of the hiding mechanics detracts from the overall experience. Despite these shortcomings, it offers solid tension-building mechanics and avoids relying solely on jump scares for scares, making it a standout horror game.
