Their daily lives are not only impacted, but they also become entangled in a chilling fate from which they cannot escape, driving them to the brink of madness.
The acting in this movie is absolutely stellar, elevating the characters and making the story come alive. It effectively avoids overusing jump scares, opting instead for psychological horror, but falters in the last 10 minutes with generic horror tropes, detracting from an otherwise masterful experience.
