While I thoroughly enjoyed the film's visuals, narrative depth, and Han Zimmer's score, the incomplete feeling of the story due to its clear setup for a sequel is a significant drawback, making it heavily dependent on the existence of a follow-up. Despite some cheesy moments and questionable aspects like the ineffectiveness of the shields, I found the movie to be an overall enjoyable experience, with the potential to become one of the best sci-fi movies if the story is completed as intended.
